Technical SEO

Technical SEO: Get the Foundations Right

Search engines need to find, read and understand your pages before they can show them to anyone. Technical SEO is the work that makes that possible: a crawlable structure, correct indexing settings, sensible URLs, accurate structured data and fast pages.

Who this is for

  • Owners whose site does not appear in Google at all.
  • Businesses that recently redesigned or migrated and saw traffic change.
  • Sites with crawl errors, duplicate pages or confusing URLs.
  • Developers and agencies who want an independent technical review.

The site is hidden from Google

A ticked "discourage search engines" box, a blocking robots.txt or a stray noindex tag can hide an entire site, often silently.

Pages compete with each other

Several pages targeting the same search confuse search engines and dilute each other.

Messy URLs and redirects

Chains of redirects, broken links and duplicate versions of the same page waste crawling and trust.

Plugins guessing at SEO

An SEO plugin set to defaults is not a strategy, and a badly configured one can do harm.

What we check, and what we do not promise

Technical SEO is a checklist of facts, which is why it can be done properly. We test whether pages are indexable, whether the sitemap and robots.txt are correct, how the URLs and redirects behave, and whether pages load quickly on mobile.

What we do not do is promise a position on Google. Rankings depend on competition, content and many factors outside any developer’s control. Anyone who guarantees page-one results is selling something other than SEO.

We also do not mass-produce near-identical location pages. One page per genuine search intent beats fifty thin ones.

  • Indexing: robots.txt, meta robots tags, canonical URLs and the sitemap.
  • Structure: headings, internal links and one clear page per search intent.
  • URLs: clean slugs, redirect chains and broken links.
  • Structured data: valid, accurate markup for the page types that qualify.
  • Speed: Core Web Vitals on mobile.
  • Search Console: errors, coverage and how Google sees your site.

What you get

  • A written technical audit with findings ranked by importance
  • Fixes implemented where we have access, or a precise list for your developer
  • Corrected robots.txt, sitemap and canonical settings
  • A redirect and broken-link plan
  • Valid structured data for appropriate pages
  • Google Search Console set-up and a baseline report

Findable, not just present

Fixing indexing and structure removes the technical obstacles between your pages and search engines.

Evidence over opinion

Every finding is something that can be shown and re-tested.

A realistic promise

We tell you what the work can and cannot achieve before you pay for it.

How it works

5 clear steps, so you always know what happens next and what is expected of you.

Start the first step

  1. Crawl and review

We examine the site the way a search engine would.

  2. Prioritise

Findings are ranked by impact and effort.

  3. Fix

We implement the fixes, or hand a precise list to your developer.

  4. Verify

Each fix is re-tested and checked in Search Console.

  5. Report

A clear summary of what changed and what to watch.

Frequently asked questions

Can you guarantee my site will rank on page one?

No, and nobody honest can. We can make sure the technical foundations are correct. Rankings also depend on competition, content and trust.

How long until I see results?

Technical fixes can be picked up within days or weeks, but visible changes in traffic often take longer and depend on many factors. We do not give a fixed timeline.

Is technical SEO the same as ongoing SEO?

No. Technical SEO is the foundation. Ongoing SEO adds regular content, local presence and links. We scope them separately.

Do you do local SEO?

We can help with the website side and with guidance on setting up a genuine Google Business Profile. We do not fabricate reviews, addresses or listings.
